Hi. I am coming in from Medicine Hat AB in early September and I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how the fishing is out of Poett Nook's, and how you think it will be in September.

Hi Bruce Early September should still be great. It all depends on when the rains come and the fish head up the rivers. Normally fishing is good until at least the 15th. With a bunch of luck the "Northern Coho" will on the scene as well---------- Moderator Poett Nook Marina

Hi All: We are coming up to fish next week and am wondering about lures to bring. I read an article about lures to use in the area and the "purple haze" hoochie earned high marks. What do they look like and are they available? What other lures are useful to have. Are there any halibut holes on the inside if the weather kicks up and we can't get outside? And what about ling cod? Thanks, Mike.

Just spent two weeks at the nook first few days were challenging but persistance paid off . Try Mears buff as we had good sucess there. we also caught a 35# at anssis Island. most caught fairly shallow pearl white hootchie 32-36" leader. You will find the staff exceptional and the area stunning hope you have a great holiday.
